The Ford Model T is generally considered to be the first affordable automobile which made car usage available to most Americans. Produced by the Ford Motor Company from 1908 to 1927, the model was known as the ‘Tin Lizzie’ and a consquence of mass-production allowed the price to drop from $780 to $290, which contributed to the success of the model.
