Metal Earth Marvel Thor’s Hammer ‘Mjolnir’

Metal Earth produces a large number of licensed and classic metal model kits. Each kit comes with a few flat sheets of metal pieces that can be pressed out and assembled by following the simple instructions, resulting in a wonderful little steel model.

In recent years, Marvel films have have taken the movie world by storm and one of the most iconic heroes is Thor, wielder of Mjolnir. Debuting in the Marvel Comics ‘Journey into Mystery’ in 1962 and mirrors Norse legends. The hammer was created by the dwarven smiths, and originally wielded by Odin, but later passed to Thor.

This 44 piece metal model of Mjolnir is an intermediate difficulty kit from Metal Earth. As with other Metal Earth kits, the pieces are laser-etched with detailing and slot together so there’s no need for gluing or painting the finished model. Some of the pieces are small and intricate so require some care when assembling – tweezers, flat nose pliers and steady hands may be needed. This is a great little gift for Marvel fans of all ages, although younger fans may require some help in assembling.
