Piececool Yellow Crane Tower

Piececool metal model kits are a wonderful challenge for model builders who enjoy piecing together models but would rather not have to worry about gluing pieces or painting the final model. Each Piececool model comes with flat stainless steel metal sheets from which the metal parts of the model can be pressed out.

It’s worth noting that some of the pieces are very small and intricate, so some care and at times, a steady hand is required to press them out from the sheet and fold their tabs in order to piece them together. It’s recommended that the Piececool tool set is purchased along with the model, or any flat nose pliers would do.

Yellow Crane Tower is a traditional Chinese tower located in Wuhan. The tower has existed in various forms since AD 223, but has been destroyed several times over the centuries, but subsequently rebuilt or repaired – most recently in 1981 to 1985. It’s a wonderful example of traditional Chinese architecture.

This advanced model from Piececool comes in 460 pieces and will require a lot of care and attention to complete, but is a wonderful gift for adults. The stainless steel pieces are laser etched with colour and details, so no painting is required, and the metal pieces slot together without the need for glue. It’s definitely a project that requires commitment, but the final model standing at 22cm high is a lovely model to display in any room.
