The Spitfire Mk.V was developed in 1940 as a stopgap measure between the Mk.IV and upcoming Mk.VI (which would take longer to develop) and was essentially a Spitfire Mk.I with a superior Merlin 45 series engine.
This lovely little beginnner’s level kit from Revell is a great introduction to model making with only 39 pieces to assemble. The Spitfire Mk.V model kit contains a detailed cockpit area with instrument panel and the landing gear, which can be mounted in two positions. Decals for two different versions of the aircraft are also included, so you can personalize your model to your liking.
