Description
Corgi Toys have been creating metal die-cast toys in some shape or form since 1933. Their most popular range of cars and other vehicles includes a number of famous vehicles as featured in films and TV series, particularly British shows. Their models don’t require assembly and make great little gifts and keepsakes.
The Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle (SPV) is a fictional vehicle from the 1960s TV series, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. The vehicle was designed as a “menacing, shark-like” assault vehicle and intended to operate as an ambphibious, all-terrain vehicle. With no windows, the occupants operate the vehicle via internal monitors and are seated backwards to reduce the possibility of injury in the event of a crash. Captain Scarlet is wonderful example of early sci-fi television using marionette puppetry and scale model special effects.
This is a fantastic diescast model of the Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle from Corgi. With no assembly required, this makes a lovely little gift for any sci-fi fan or model collector.
