Tamiya are a Japanese manufacturer of plastic model kits, including ships and a wide range of military vehicles. The company has gained a reputation of producing incredibly detailed models, making the brand very popular in the model building community.
The I-400 Class submarines were the largest submarines of World War II and operated as submarine aircraft carriers, capable of carrynig three aircraft underwater and designed to surface, launch their planes and quickly dive again. While the Japanese had planned to build 18 of these boats, only 3 were completed during WW2.
This wonderful intermediate-difficulty model kit of the Japanese I-400 class submarine is a great addition to any collection. The kit comes with a display stand and accompanying Seiran aircraft model.
