Description
Revell is a global manufacturer and distributor of quality plastic model kits across the world and have been producing faithful recreations of all kinds of vehicles and other models since the 1940s.
The Spitfire Mk.V was developed in 1940 as a stopgap measure between the Mk.IV and upcoming Mk.VI (which would take longer to develop) and was essentially a Spitfire Mk.I with a superior Merlin 45 series engine. The Mk.Vb variant became the main production version of the Mark Vs and was constantly being modified throughout its production – everything from better cockpit hoods to bullet resistant panels were added.
This intermediate-level difficulty 1:72 scale model of the Spitfire Mk.Vb from Revell is a great kit for anyone with a passion for model building or aviation. It’s a wonderful little piece of British military history and one of the most iconic aircraft of all time. With only 42 pieces, it’s a nice step up from entry-level model kits, but will still provide a challenge. As with all Revell kits, glue and paints aren’t included so you need to buy those seperately (the Revell website has details of the specific paint colours to buy).
