Metal Earth Star Wars – The Mandalorian’s ‘Razor Crest’ 1:32 Scale Model

Metal Earth produces a large number of licensed and classic metal model kits. Each kit comes with a few flat sheets of metal pieces that can be pressed out and assembled by following the simple instructions, resulting in a wonderful little steel model.

The Razor Crest is an ST-70 assault ship owned by the Mandalorian, Din Djarin, in the TV series of the of the same name. The Razor Crest is fitted with two laser canons, which the Mandlorian upgraded to more powerful versions. During a panel talk, it emerged that Jon Favreau provided a design brief for the new vessel based on the A-10 Thuderbolt ‘Warthog’, a single-seat attack aircaft operated by the USAF. The designers for the Razor Crest also drew inspiration from WW2 aircraft aesthetics.

This lovely little 1:32 scale model from Metal Earth comes with 186 pieces, so it’s a more advanced and complex kit geared at adults. The metal pieces are laser etched with silver and gold detailing so no painting or finishing touches are required after assembly. Many of the pieces are very small and intricate so you may need tweezers or other tools to help with the assembly. The final model stands 8.1 x 10.4 x18.3 cm and makes a wonderful gift for Star Wars fans.
